Response to "Teddy Bear's Go Blogging"
I thought that getting young children in the primary grades involved in blogging is great! They are able to communicate with children around the world and at the same time learn about their different cultures. I also liked the idea of exchanging teddy bears and allowing students to see their bears travel from place to place.

Yes, it can be a powerful tool. What in particular makes it a useful tool for such young children? Can you see this tool being used in your classroom?
ReplyDeleteThis tool can be useful for young children because they are able to have control of their own learning by communicating with someone from a different culture. I would love to use the idea of blogging in my classroom but unfortunatley there are not enough computers redily available for all of my students.
ReplyDeleteI don't think you need to have a full classroom set of computers for a blogging activity. In fact, if you send students to the computer one at a time, it might facilitate more of a conversation as they respond to one another.
