What is the "value added" for the uses of technology we have been discussing in class this semester? How do they (or don't they) fit with UDL?
By adding technology to any lesson you are making your lesson more valuable. Educational technology allows students to view their knowledge of subject matter in different ways.
Also, an added value may mean having to individualize instruction to students so that way they will have a better understanding of subject matter. When a student works with digital media they become the creator of the piece that they are working on. Consequently, this will help build student confidence and give them a sense of ownership.

  1. So how does this fit in with UDL?
If technology does not have any inherent value, are you saying the added value is in individualizing instruction?
I'd like to see more about what you think on this topic.

  2. Yes, I feel that once a student takes ownership for the piece they have created they will think of it as being valuable because they have created it.

  3. With UDL, students have opportunities to learn through multiple means of expression and with the flexibility afforded by technology.
